Meshcasting Update December 7, 2009
Thank you everyone who has supported the Meshcasting Cooperative. I would like to say that our first month live with the Mesh network was a true success. There were 79 unique users that visited the community and used our free Mesh network in November. I would also like to welcome Berkeley Community Acupuncture and Planned Pethood. We will be placing a repeater node on the roof of Planned Pethood in a few weeks. That should extend our network up to 44th and Tennyson. We printed flyers to promote the community network and are asking business owners on Tennyson to display them. Please give me a call and I will come by. 720-940-5063.
It is our goal to update everyone in the community about the Meshcasting Project the first Monday of every month. We are working on a map that will show the footprint of our community network for next month. Join us on Facebook for more frequent updates. Don’t miss the 3rd Annual Jingle and Mingle brought to you by The Berkeley District Merchants Association. December 12th and 13th BDMA will be sponsoring many events throughout the weekend. This is a great way to support local businesses in the Tennyson area. Go to theberkeleydistrict.com for more information.
Spread the word through the community that Meshcasting is building a free community owned network in the Berkeley/Regis area. Meshcasting is currently seeking membership and donations from the community to help expand this free community-owned wireless network. The more members and money we raise, the larger and faster Meshcasting can spread through our community. See the frequently asked questions below for more information. Thank you for your time. I am looking forward to building this Mesh network together.
