Meshcasting update November 3, 2009

Thank you to everyone who has supported Meshcasting. It has been a privilege
spearheading this initiative and making the Berkeley/Regis area the proving
ground for sustainable communications. I would like to take this opportunity
to brief everybody about the Meshcasting project.

Meshcasting officially went live November 1, 2009. We have had 24 visitors.
Meshcasting finished building the first Mother Node at Big Hoss BBQ, 3961
Tennyson Street about two weeks ago. The Mesh network reaches about two
blocks omnidirectional with some line of site issues. If you live in or are
visiting that area search for wireless networks and join Meshcasting Sector
1.1.0.7 Free. We need as many people on the network as possible for testing
purposes. Line of site issues are being resolved by placing solar repeaters
on the parameter of the Mesh. If you live in the area and receive a weak
signal, your location might be perfect for a solar repeater. A solar
repeater can help extend the network up to 1,000 ft. We are currently
raising capital for the repeaters and expect to have them live by the end of
the year. Our current goal is to have three Mother Nodes and 20 repeaters up
by summer 2010.

Spread the word through the community that Meshcasting is building a free
community owned network in the Berkeley/Regis area. Meshcasting is currently
seeking membership and donations from the community to help expand this free
community-owned wireless network. The more members and money we raise, the
larger and faster Meshcasting can spread through our community. See the
frequently asked questions below for more information. Thank you for your
time. I am looking forward to building this Mesh network together.
